What course subsidies can I use?

you can receive up to 70% funding support from The Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF) for our IBF-accredited programmes. The balance course fees (after subsidy) can be offset using your SkillsFuture Credits or NTUC UTAP funding.

The IBF Standards Training Scheme (“IBF-STS”) provides funding for training and assessment programmes accredited under the Skills Framework for Financial Services.

For our training programmes that are IBF-accredited, eligible Singaporeans & PRs may receive funding support under the IBF Standards Training Scheme (IBF-STS), subjected to all eligibility criteria being met.

For more information on the funding support, please visit: https://www.ibf.org.sg/home/for-individuals/skills-and-jobs-development/training-support/IBF-STS

Are the courses conducted virtually or via physical classes?

In terms of format:

  • Classes will be conducted online via Zoom by an instructor working full time in the tech industry
  • All recordings of the class will be shared with students for revision purposes
  • Every class will have assigned teaching assistants to assist with questions outside of class

You can view the recorded lecture if you missed a class, and seek help from your teaching assistants if you have any doubts. However, you must make sure that you achieve at least 75% attendance for the entire course.

What are the pre-requisites for the courses?

Our 100-series courses (e.g. AI100, DA100, SE100) are suitable for beginners with no background.

What is the difference between taking individual courses versus the nanodegree?

Individual courses are suitable for learners who are (1) trying to get a taste of tech to see if that is something for you, or (2) trying to pick up a new skill to apply in your current role.

A nanodegree comprises 3 individual courses meant to be taken in a progressive manner. The Nanodegree program serves to equip learners who are keen to career transition with all the required core skills.

Is there a certificate granted at the end of the course?

Yes, every individual course comes with it’s own digital certificate. Learners can also embed the certificate as a digital badge on LinkedIn to showcase your skills to recruiters and hiring managers.

Is there an additional certificate granted for the nanodegrees?

Yes, if learners complete all the requisite courses, you will receive an additional Nanodegree certificate as proof of your competency in the subject matter.

How much time should I allocate outside of the class for the courses?

This depends on the course per se. For our advanced classes (e.g. AI200, AI300, SE200), learners should typically allocate at least 3 hours per week for the assignments & capstone project.

In general, our courses are designed to be intensive to ensure that learners are equipped with practical skills required to function at industry standards.

Will the course be suitable for me if I have no background or knowledge in the subject?

Yes, our 100-series courses (e.g. AI100, DA100, SE100) are suitable for beginners with no background. For advanced courses (e.g. AI200, AI300, SE200), please check the course page on the prerequisites.
