Bringing Agentic AI to Life for Singapore's Airport Workforce: OneAviation Learning Festival 2026 x Heicoders Academy

Heicoders Academy was appointed as the central training provider for the OneAviation Learning Festival 2026, curating, building and facilitating four hands-on, aviation-themed AI experiences for Changi Airport's workforce over two days.

The Challenge: Making AI Real for a Busy, Diverse Airport Community

The airport workforce is large and varied, and many of its people work on shifts with little time to spare. For most, AI was something they had heard about but had not yet had the chance to try for themselves. CAAS wanted the festival to change that, giving staff a clear and memorable sense of what AI is and what it can do for their work.

CAAS was clear that the festival should be experiential rather than static. Instead of talks or display panels, staff needed short, bite-sized activities they could walk up to, complete within minutes and leave with something tangible. The activities had to feel relevant to aviation, be accessible to people with no technical background, and run smoothly in a busy public venue over two full days.

CAAS also wanted a single, trusted partner to own the AI activities end to end, from design and build through to on-the-ground facilitation, so that the experience would be consistent across every booth and deliver a clear outcome for management and LLSG.

Why Heicoders Academy: A Trusted Partner in Practical, Applied AI

Heicoders Academy had already worked with CAAS on building AI capability within the organisation, and was well placed to translate complex AI concepts into simple, hands-on experiences for a non-technical audience. As Singapore’s exclusive Manus AI education partner, Heicoders brought both the technical depth to build interactive AI tools and the facilitation experience to guide first-time users through them with confidence.

Heicoders worked closely with CAAS and LLSG from the initial site visit through to festival day, shaping the activities around the needs of the airport community and refining each experience through management trials and feedback.

Heicoders Academy is Singapore's leading AI-First Skills Accelerator, with over 20,000 learners trained, 4,000+ five-star reviews, and 300+ corporate clients including Changi Airport Group, Marriott International, and Temasek Trust.

The Solution: Four Hands-On AI Activity Booths, Built and Run by Heicoders

Heicoders designed four short, aviation-themed AI activities, each built with Manus AI and designed to be completed in around 10 to 15 minutes. The activities ranged from researching aviation sustainability facts with AI at Fly Green and turning ideas into short aviation video clips at Sky Reels, to designing posters and infographics at Design Runway and practising how to handle a difficult airline customer with an AI voice agent at Cabin Pressure.

Across the four booths, the core idea was to give airport staff a practical introduction to AI through sustainability research, video generation, visual design and customer-service simulation.

Each booth was staffed by 2 Heicoders facilitators, who guided participants step by step, helped them write effective prompts and explained what the AI was doing behind the scenes. Participants could send their creations to themselves to keep, and selected creations, reviewed by facilitators, were featured on live showcase walls on the festival’s main screen.

Fly Green. Participants took on 5 quick sustainability missions in a gamified quiz, using an AI assistant grounded on a factsheet to research each answer. They typed their own prompts, refined their questions when the first answer was not quite right, and unlocked a "Did you know?" fact on topics such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel and water recycling at Changi. Along the way, they experienced how AI can act as a fast research assistant, and learnt why specific prompts and trusted sources lead to more accurate answers.

Sky Reels. Participants turned their own aviation ideas into a 10 to 15 second AI-generated video using Manus. Guided by facilitators, they learned to write effective prompts by setting a clear goal, describing the scene, mood and visual style, and adding camera movement. Within minutes, they watched their idea come to life, emailed the video to themselves, and saw selected reels featured on the live Sky Reels showcase wall. The activity showed them first-hand how the detail in a prompt shapes the final result.

Design Runway. Participants stepped into the shoes of a creative or marketing team and used AI image generation to design aviation-themed posters and infographics, from safety campaigns and sustainability visuals to concepts for Changi’s upcoming Terminal 5. They experimented with layout, style and messaging, refining their prompts until the design matched their vision. Selected creations, reviewed by facilitators, were featured on the live Design Runway wall, showing participants how AI can turn an idea into a polished visual in minutes.

Cabin Pressure. Participants put on a headset and handled a difficult passenger played by an AI voice agent, choosing from scenarios such as a missed connection, a flight delay or a baggage dispute. They responded verbally in real time, with a live transcript on screen so others could follow along, and received a scorecard at the end assessing their empathy, tone, resolution and overall handling. The activity gave participants a safe space to practise staying calm under pressure, and showed them how agentic AI can listen, respond and give feedback like a real coaching partner.

Together, the four booths gave participants a well-rounded view of agentic AI in action, showing how AI can research and answer questions, create content and act as a realistic practice partner for everyday work situations.

Results: Over 1,000 Booth Participations and a Clear Understanding of What AI Can Do

Across the two days, the four AI activity booths recorded more than 1,000 booth participations from the airport community, with turnout growing on the second day. Participants were hands-on throughout, building their own creations and holding their own conversations with AI rather than simply watching demonstrations.

The activities were very well received, and participants clearly enjoyed the experience. Many left with a new understanding of what agentic AI can do, from finding reliable information and producing videos and designs in minutes, to helping them practise and improve how they handle real conversations at work. For many staff, it was their first time using AI tools hands-on, and the festival turned AI from an abstract idea into something practical and approachable.

Standout Submissions

Participants created a wide range of posters and videos over the two days. A selection of standout submissions from the Design Runway and Sky Reels booths is featured below.

What's Next: Building on the Momentum Across the Aviation Community

The OneAviation Learning Festival showed that, with the right experience design, AI can be made accessible and engaging for every part of the workforce, regardless of technical background. The interest generated over the two days provides a strong foundation for continued AI upskilling across the airport community.

Heicoders Academy is grateful to CAAS and LLSG for the opportunity to be part of the festival and looks forward to continuing to support Singapore’s aviation sector in building practical, future-ready AI capabilities.
