Following its 10-year anniversary, Ghana Exim Bank set out a clear strategic direction: bankwide automation, AI applications, and digital transformation. To move this agenda forward, the bank needed its internal team to build hands-on, practical AI capability that could be applied directly to real banking workflows, not just theoretical understanding.
The Management Information Systems (MIS) lead in the bank's Finance department, responsible for solution development and automation, had already begun exploring AI tools independently, including Claude Code and n8n. However, to accelerate progress and equip a cross-functional team, the bank needed a structured, rigorous programme aligned to its specific enterprise use cases.
After searching internationally for a course that matched the bank’s ambitions, the team concluded that the right programme was not available locally, and made the decision to travel to Singapore for the training.

The curriculum was structured as a progressive journey from foundational AI concepts to advanced enterprise automation:
- Generative AI Basics and Prompt Engineering: How Large Language Models work, key AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini), advanced prompting techniques including chain-of-thought and few-shot prompting, and AI-powered media creation.
- Advanced Workflows and AI Agents: Hands-on lab using Manus AI to build and deploy multi-step automated workflows across 9 real-world business scenarios, including email automation, data analysis, wide research, spreadsheet automation, and slide generation.
- Agentic Workflow Automation with n8n: Building powerful automated pipelines by connecting multiple applications and services to automate common business processes such as data extraction and report generation.
- RAG for Business Data: Learning how to combine AI with the organisation’s internal data to create reliable, factual knowledge bases and secure private AI systems.
- MCP and Managing AI Risk: Applying frameworks for safe, compliant, and ethical AI use in an enterprise setting, culminating in a hands-on Capstone Project where participants applied their full suite of newly acquired skills.
The programme was delivered by lead instructor Darren, supported by teaching assistant Candy. Learning was brought together across an integrated stack of platforms including Telegram, Canvas, and Notion, alongside structured assignments and grading, creating a cohesive, interactive learning experience from start to finish.
