The Challenge: Turning AI Interest into Recruitment Productivity
Recruitment professionals operate in one of the highest-velocity, highest-volume information environments in any industry. Leaders at HRnetGroup could see that generative and agentic AI offered a step-change in productivity, but only if their teams were trained to apply it to the specific workflows of talent acquisition rather than to AI in the abstract.
The audience was made up of experienced recruitment and talent leaders with a range of exposure to AI. Any training therefore had to move quickly from foundations into practical, immediately applicable use, and had to speak directly to the work these leaders do every day, such as candidate outreach, job description writing, talent market research, and client-facing reporting. A generic, off-the-shelf AI course would not have connected to those realities.
What HRnetGroup wanted was a programme that moved beyond awareness into hands-on building, one that let participants apply AI to their own recruitment scenarios and left them with workflows they could put to work immediately.
Why Heicoders Academy: A Practical, Contextualised Partners
HRnetGroup chose Heicoders Academy for its track record of translating AI into practical value for corporate teams. From the first discovery conversations, the Heicoders team focused on tailoring the workshop to HRnetGroup's operational realities rather than delivering a standard syllabus. Every prompt example, exercise, and automation demonstration was grounded in recruitment scenarios, from candidate outreach and job description drafting to market mapping and client reporting, so that participants worked with content that mirrored their daily responsibilities.
As Singapore's exclusive Manus AI education partner, Heicoders was also able to bring current agentic AI capabilities into the training room, giving recruitment leaders direct, hands-on experience with the tools shaping the future of their work.
Heicoders Academy is Singapore's leading AI-First Skills Accelerator, with over 30,000 learners trained, 4,000+ five-star reviews, and 300+ corporate clients including Changi Airport Group, Marriott International, and Temasek Trust.

The Solution: A Customised Half-Day Workshop for HRnetGroup's Recruitment Leaders
Heicoders Academy delivered a customised, practitioner-led workshop exclusively for HRnetGroup. The session ran as a focused half-day, in-person workshop on 10 September 2026 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Singapore for around 60 participants, structured as a single progressive arc from AI foundations through to agentic automation. The content covered:
- Introduction to Generative AI: How Large Language Models work, how they power everyday tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, and their respective strengths and limitations, alongside concepts including reasoning models, memory, and custom instructions.
- Prompt Engineering Fundamentals: Hands-on practice with techniques such as shot-based, chain, and system prompting, applied directly to recruitment scenarios like drafting job descriptions, generating candidate outreach messages, and summarising talent market research, together with strategies to reduce AI errors through data grounding and mandatory citations.
- Using AI for Everyday Recruitment Tasks: Using AI research modes to map talent markets and competitor hiring activity, drafting outreach emails, job descriptions, and client-facing reports, generating shortlist summaries and employer branding materials, and running simple analytics on recruitment data.
- Agentic AI and Workflow Automation: The difference between using AI as a tool and as an autonomous agent, followed by a hands-on lab using Manus AI to automate real recruitment workstreams such as candidate outreach, talent market and competitor research, regional talent mapping, interview coordination, and LinkedIn sourcing.
- The Way Ahead: A look at where the team can take this next, including workflow automation with n8n for recruitment use cases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation in an HR context, and the Model Context Protocol.
Throughout the session, participants applied each concept live to their own recruitment scenarios rather than simply watching demonstrations, so that they left able to use these techniques on their real work straight away.

Results: Recruitment Leaders Engaged and Equipped
The workshop brought together around 60 of HRnetGroup's recruitment and talent leaders for a hands-on grounding in applied and agentic AI. Working directly with the tools, participants moved from understanding what AI can do to actively applying it to the sourcing, outreach, reporting, and market research tasks at the core of their work.
Engagement across the session was strong, and it was well received by both participants and the firm's leadership. By the end of the workshop, the team had a shared, practical view of how AI and agentic automation could accelerate recruitment workflows and free up time for higher-value advisory work with clients.
What's Next: Extending Applied AI Across the Firm
With a first session complete, the foundation is in place for HRnetGroup to deepen its use of AI across its consulting and recruitment functions. Heicoders Academy looks forward to supporting HRnetGroup on that journey, whether through further sessions, deeper role-specific automation, or continued guidance as the firm embeds AI into its everyday work.
The HRnetGroup workshop reflects how Heicoders Academy partners with fast-moving professional teams: starting from the team's real daily workflows, keeping the learning practical and hands-on, and making it immediately applicable to the work that matters most.
