Overview
The agency regularly organises complimentary learning sessions for their clients as part of their value-added engagement strategy. When the agency recently surveyed their clients on topics of interest, one theme stood out clearly: they wanted to learn Artificial Intelligence.
However, introducing AI to a broad, non-technical audience is not straightforward. Without the right structure and delivery approach, AI workshops can quickly become abstract, technical, or disengaging.
To address this, the agency partnered with Heicoders Academy to design and deliver a customised 3-hour Generative AI workshop tailored specifically for their clients. The session attracted over 100 participants, and the response exceeded expectations.
The Challenge
The agency faced a familiar problem many organisations encounter when planning AI education initiatives: how do you make AI accessible, practical, and engaging for a non-technical audience?
Their clients were curious about AI but came from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of familiarity with technology. The workshop needed to:
- Introduce AI concepts clearly without technical jargon
- Demonstrate real, usable applications
- Maintain energy and engagement across a large audience
- Deliver meaningful value within a short 3-hour format
Importantly, this was not a corporate training session. It was a client engagement event, so the learning experience needed to feel inspiring rather than instructional.

Why Heicoders Academy
One of the agency's programme hosts had previously attended Heicoders Academy's public GA100: Generative AI for Automation & Productivity course.
Having experienced firsthand how the course balanced accessibility with real-world applications, he reached out to the team to explore whether a similar experience could be adapted for their client audience.
Together, both teams designed a workshop structured around three principles:
- Accessibility for beginners
- Practical demonstrations instead of theory
- Exposure to emerging AI agent workflows
The Workshop Experience
The 3-hour session introduced participants to Generative AI through a carefully structured learning journey that progressed from fundamentals to hands-on demonstrations. The workshop covered:
- Orientation to AI: Foundations of Artificial Intelligence, including the differences between AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, the three levels of AI capability, and how Large Language Models power modern AI tools. This created a shared baseline understanding across the audience.
- Exploring Modern AI Tools: Participants were introduced to tools they could immediately relate to and experiment with: ChatGPT for productivity and research, Suno for AI music generation, ElevenLabs for voice synthesis, and Nanobanana for AI image creation. This segment helped participants see AI not as theory, but as something already usable in everyday workflows.
- Prompt Engineering Techniques: Differences between traditional LLMs and reasoning models, practical prompting techniques, and structuring prompts for higher-quality outputs. Participants quickly discovered that effective prompting dramatically improves outcomes.
- Introduction to AI Agents: A forward-looking segment using Manus AI, with demonstrations of automated slide generation, scheduled task automation, landing page creation, and browser-based workflows. This gave participants a glimpse into the next wave of AI productivity tools.
The Outcome
Despite the technical nature of the topic, the workshop maintained strong engagement throughout the session. Participants responded enthusiastically to:
- Live demonstrations
- Interactive examples
- Practical workflows they could replicate immediately
- Exposure to emerging AI agent capabilities
For many attendees, this was their first structured introduction to Generative AI. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, they left the session with a clearer understanding of how AI could support their daily work and personal productivity.
The agency shared that their clients greatly enjoyed the experience, and the event successfully delivered on its objective of providing meaningful value through education.
Supporting Clients Through AI Literacy
As interest in AI continues to grow across industries, organisations are increasingly looking for ways to introduce the topic to their stakeholders in a structured and accessible way.
This engagement demonstrated how even a short, well-designed workshop can:
- Demystify AI concepts
- Showcase practical applications
- Build confidence in using new tools
- Strengthen relationships through high-value learning experiences
Heicoders Academy continues to work with organisations across Singapore to design customised Generative AI workshops tailored to their audiences, objectives, and industry contexts.
