The Challenge: Raising AI Fluency Across an Entire Organisation
Temasek Foundation had made AI fluency a key organisational goal, and wanted every member of the team to be able to apply AI meaningfully in their own function. The team spans communications, programme management, data and impact measurement, and operations, with participants arriving at a wide range of starting points, from first-time users to more confident adopters.
A generic AI course would not meet this need. The Foundation required training grounded in real social impact workflows, including grant communications, programme reporting, stakeholder engagement, and beneficiary impact data, so that every participant could see a direct line from the content to their daily work.
The Foundation therefore needed a single, cohesive programme that could build consistent capability across the whole organisation in a focused window, while remaining accessible to a large and mixed-ability audience.
Why Heicoders Academy: A Proven Framework and Practitioner-Led Depth
As Singapore's leading AI-First Skills Accelerator and the exclusive education partner of Manus AI in Singapore, Heicoders Academy brings the most current, practitioner-led agentic AI training available. The programme drew on the same framework already proven during the Temasek Trust AI Learning Week, giving the Foundation confidence in both the depth and the relevance of the content.
Every example and exercise was tailored to a foundation setting, and Manus AI credits were provided at no additional cost so participants could build and test real workflows hands-on from Day 1 onwards. The result was a programme designed to deliver genuine capability uplift, not just awareness.
Heicoders Academy is Singapore's leading AI-First Skills Accelerator, with over 20,000 learners trained, 3,000+ five-star reviews, and 300+ corporate clients including Changi Airport Group, Marriott International, and Temasek Trust.
The Solution: An Immersive 2-Day Programme at Temasek Shophouse
Heicoders delivered the programme in person at Temasek Shophouse over two full days on 6 and 7 July 2026, from 9am to 4pm daily, for the Foundation team across all functions, facilitated by Heicoders instructor Beh Min Yan. Day 1 built the complete AI foundation layer, while Day 2 was a dedicated applications track day in which every participant went through all three specialist tracks in sequence:
- Day 1 — Generative AI and Modern Prompt Engineering: How large language models and reasoning models work, why older prompt engineering techniques fall short, and mastery of the TCREI prompting framework including shot-based prompting and prompt chaining.
- Day 1 — Trust, Safety and AI Agents: How trustworthy LLMs and AI agents really are, reducing hallucinations through citations, abstention, and data grounding, safe and responsible AI use, and the difference in capability between LLMs and AI agents.
- Day 1 — Hands-On Agentic Automation with Manus AI: ChatGPT advanced features and custom GPTs, followed by a hands-on lab building and deploying AI agents across nine real-world workflows, from email crafting and data analysis to scheduled tasks, spreadsheet automation, geospatial dashboards, and slide generation.
- Day 2, Track A — Content and Storytelling Media Creation: AI-assisted image and media generation, creating icons, logos, and infographics, and generating voice and music with tools such as Suno and ElevenLabs, supporting the Foundation's communications and outreach output.
- Day 2, Track B — Data Analytics with Generative AI: Using LLMs and AI agents for end-to-end analytics, from exploratory data analysis and visualisation to automated dashboard generation and predictive modelling, with no technical background required.
- Day 2, Track C — Building Microsites with Vibe Coding: A no-code introduction to building and deploying lightweight digital tools with Manus AI, enabling participants to prototype microsites for programme delivery and beneficiary engagement without any coding background.
Throughout both days, examples were anchored to real foundation workflows such as grant communications, programme reporting, and beneficiary impact data, ensuring that every participant left with skills directly applicable to their role.

Results: Consistent Capability Uplift Across the Team
Across the two days, participants moved from foundational understanding to building real, working AI agents and applying AI across media creation, data analytics, and no-code development. By covering the full AI spectrum in a single immersive programme, the Foundation achieved consistent capability uplift across communications, programme management, data, and operations functions.
Temasek Foundation shared warm feedback following the programme:
"We would like to thank Min Yan for facilitating the workshop, and you for your support in coordinating the session. We truly appreciate all your help."
What's Next: Extending the Programme Across the Foundation
Building on the momentum from the two days, Heicoders Academy and Temasek Foundation are arranging a follow-up session to extend the programme to additional team members, so that the full organisation benefits from the same capability uplift.
With strong AI foundations now in place, both teams look forward to continuing the collaboration and deepening applied AI fluency across the Foundation's work in the months ahead.
