Q: Is there an expiry date for SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)?

Yes. The current SFEC scheme expires on 30 November 2026. From 1 December 2026, the scheme will be redesigned and eligible employers will receive a fresh tranche of $10,000. To use the current credit, training must be completed on or before 30 November 2026 — sign up for a cohort that completes by then.

Q: How does SFEC work for company-sponsored training?

For SFEC-supported training programmes, employers are required to pay the course fee upfront. Employers must then submit claims to the relevant agencies for the supportable programmes that they have applied for or training courses that they have completed. Upon approval of these claims, the corresponding SFEC will be calculated and disbursed to the employer.

Q: How much can SFEC cover for training costs?

Employers may claim up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses incurred, after taking into consideration any prior government course fee subsidies.

Q: Do companies need to pay upfront before claiming SFEC?

Yes. For SFEC-supported training, payment must be paid by, and invoiced to, the employer. SFEC is disbursed only after the relevant claims for the supportable programmes have been approved.

What is the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)?

SFEC is a one-off S$10,000 credit for eligible employers to offset out-of-pocket expenses on supported training programmes after SSG funding. Employers must be notified by Enterprise Singapore to qualify. The current scheme expires on 30 November 2026, so corporates must sign up for a cohort that completes by then.
