You must submit your claim via the UTAP portal within 6 months of your course completion date. Heicoders will send you a reminder when it is time to submit.

Q: Can I use UTAP with other subsidies like SkillsFuture Credit and SSG?

Yes. UTAP is applied after all other subsidies. SSG or IBF subsidies are applied first, then SkillsFuture Credit can offset the remaining balance. UTAP then reimburses 50% of whatever is still left unfunded, up to your annual cap.

Q: Do I need to be an NTUC member before I sign up for the course?

Yes, you must be an active NTUC Union Member before your course starts to be eligible for the UTAP claim.

As an NTUC Union Member, you get exclusive access to the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) — a training benefit that covers 50% of your unfunded course fees.

What is UTAP & How It Works?

UTAP is a reimbursement scheme that makes it even more affordable for NTUC members to upskill. After you complete your Heicoders course, you can claim back 50% of your remaining course fees, up to your annual cap.

Who Can Apply & How Much Can You Claim?

You're eligible if you:

Are an active NTUC Union Member at the time of enrolment and claim submission.

What you'll need:

Singpass access

Claim Amounts:

Members aged 40 and above:50% of unfunded course fees, capped at S$500 per year.
Members below age 40:50% of unfunded course fees, capped at S$250 per year.
